Holiday Spirit Shawl

Niet zo lang geleden kreeg ik deze kleuren Scheepjes Linen Soft binnen.

 

Not long ago I got these colors Scheepjes Linen Soft.

 

 

 

 

Mijn handen jeukten om ermee aan de slag te gaan, want ik ben gek op die zachte kleuren. Alle andere lopende projecten werden aan de kant geschoven. Ik wist precies wat ik ermee wilde maken. De steek had ik al bedacht en het moest een shawl worden.

I really wanted to start working this yarn, because I 'm crazy about these soft colors. All other projects were pushed aside. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. The stitch I had already figured out and it had to be a shawl.

 

 

Ik haakte de shawl over de breedte. Je hoeft bij deze steek niet zo na te denken en je hoeft telkens maar tot vier te tellen dus het ging lekker snel.

 

 I crocheted across the long side of the shawl. With this stitch you don't have to think that much and you only have to count to four, which is why it went very quickly.

 

 

 

 

 Ik haakte er een rand omheen om de shawl af te werken. Na vijf verschillende probeersels vond ik deze er het mooist bij passen.

 

I crocheted a border around to finish off the work. After about five attempts I thought this one had the most beautiful fit.

De combinatie van deze kleuren doet me denken aan de kilometerslange groenstroken die je ziet langs provinciale wegen. Het geeft me helemaal dat gevoel van op vakantie gaan met de auto. Lekker wegkruipen in je shawl terwijl je onderweg bent en van het uitzicht vanuit het autoraam geniet. Vandaar de naam Holiday Spirit Shawl.

 

Al met al een superfijn project om aan te werken.

 

 The combination of these colors reminds me of the long streaks of green that you see on the roadside. It gives me that feeling of going on holiday by car. Snuggling up in this shawl while you're out and enjoying the view from the car window. Hence the name Holiday Spirit Shawl.

All in all a very nice project to work on. 

 

 

 

Het formaat van de shawl is ongeveer 170 x 39 cm. Het patroon werk ik uit voor de webshop. Hopelijk is het binnenkort beschikbaar.
